homemade ginger sesame dressing

This Homemade Sesame Ginger Dressing is inspired by my mom’s salad dressing but with a little bit of twist! This is the dressing I make when I make salad at home because it is so easy to make and these are all the ingredients that you probably already have at home.

I use the same dressing for my cold udon salad (which is basically fresh leafy greens, other veggies, and udon) but this dressing is perfect for salads, marinating meat, or even fried rice.

Ingredients for Ginger Sesame Dressing:

Makes about ⅔ cup, enough for multiple servings of salad!

- Low sodium soy sauce - 4 tbs

- Fish sauce - 1 tbs

- Sesame oil - 1.5 tbs

- Water - 1.5 tbs

- White sugar or Honey - 1.5 tbs

- Minced ginger - 2 tbs

- Red chili powder or paprika - .5 tbs

- Sesame seed (if you have any!) - 1 tbs

If you’d like to make it a little more flavorful, add:

- Vinegar (I love using pomegranate vinegar but you can use any other fruit vinegar or just a plain one) - 1 tbs

- Lemon Juice - 3 tbs

- Chopped jalapeno - .5 tbs

- Chili garlic sauce - 1 tbs

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a jar and shake well to combine. Enjoy over salads or as a marinade!
